I got a bunch of alerts from Seats.Aero while on the train to Narita. I sadly sacrificed my duty-free shopping time to put this together. Dates shared are as of around 12:30am ET.

There’s rare availability to book Qantas business class between New York and Australia or New Zealand. Fly QF4 between JFK-AKL which then connects onward to Sydney, Australia. There is sporadic availability for 2 seats, primarily in July through mid-September 2026 and mostly to/from Auckland.

American Airlines: 80k points + $6-56 in tax/fees. Fully refundable. Can place a hold for free online while points transfer as well.

Alaska Airlines: 85k points + $53 in tax/fees. Fully refundable minus ~$12 partner award fee

JAL: 85k points one-way or 130k round-trip.
