Fare sales go quick and sometimes have caveats…
With any special sale, there is a risk that Alaska or British Airways will cancel your ticket. So don’t make concrete plans and nonrefundable hotel and activity bookings until after a few days. The sale could also be over by the time you see this email, but hopefully it can help a few people book if they are early bird risers!
How to search and book?
1) This is a situation where you want to test and learn to find dates that work. You can quickly find dates on Google Flights; however, they may be out of date and not reflect the lowest price you find after searching on Alaska or an OTA. On Google Flights, many dates will show as ~$1,300 to $1,420 round-trip. However, if you click through and try to book with Alaska (from the Google Flights site), it will try to reprice you into First Class. However, just go back directly on Alaska’s site to book into business class that could potentially be in the $1,300-$1,420 range.

2) Flights are still pricing out at the sale price on Alaska’s site, on Amex travel, and on Expedia as of 6am ET. Alaska’s calendar view is not very helpful as it doesn’t let me properly filter for business class seats for flexible dates in calendar view (it defaults to always showing econ prices for me 🙃). A workaround could be using ITA Matrix, and searching for flexible dates at the lowest price in business class.

About Find Flights for Me.
I started the idea of Find Flights for Me back in 2023 to help educate and inspire people to use their credit card points more effectively, with a focus on using points to fly business and first class flights. At the time, there was a lot less transparency around using points and the focus was centered around telling you how to earn points. So, I thought I could share content that is easy-to-understand and actionable on social media - and now with a newsletter.
When I’m not working on Wall Street or searching for flight deals, you can find me planning for my upcoming wedding, enjoying local restaurants, helping my parents book their next trip, traveling internationally, or visiting friends/family in NYC, Philadelphia, or DC.
