Intro

This may not be the sexiest airline in the world. Far from it in fact. But lie-flat seats (on some routes) on a direct flight to visit Egypt starting at 65k points one-way for a 10+ hour flight is something worth highlighting.

Currently, the IAD and EWR routes have lie-flat business class seats in a 1-2-1 layout on EgyptAir’s 787s. Otherwise, it will be a 2-3-2 angle-flat seat on the JFK and YYZ routes.

EgyptAir is also a dry airline, so no alcohol will be served on board.

This deal was found with the assistance of Seats.Aero (affiliate link), an award search tool that helps you view thousands of available award flights all in one place.

How to search and book?

There’s no easy way to use a calendar view to find dates. You’ll have to manually search one day at a time on a program like Air Canada, ANA, or Avianca to find dates. Use an award search tool like Seats.Aero or Roame to find dates as well.

EgyptAir business class

The hard product (seats) will greatly differ depending on what type of plane you are flying on. EgyptAir’s 787s have more modern 1-2-1 and lie-flat business class seats. They currently fly on the EWR/CAI and IAD/CAI routes. For those who really need to visit Egypt and want to fly direct, the JFK/CAI and YYZ/CAI routes have a more antiquated 2-3-2 and angle-flat seats.

EgyptAir is also a dry airline. So no alcohol on board.
