It’s been since November (when the Singapore Airlines devaluation occurred) since I have seen award availability for Singapore Airlines bookable on Air Canada.

How to search and book?
1) There’s no easy way to use a calendar view to find dates. You will have to manually search them on Air Canada Aeroplan’s site. You need to log in with an account to search.
2) Put in dates, destination, and choose “Book with Aeroplan points”. Then search

3) After searching, find the flight operated by Singapore Airlines and confirm the number of seats you want are there. Transfer your points, then book.

Connect through Frankfurt to other parts of Europe + Air Canada’s stopover program
Frankfurt has great connectivity through rest of Europe with Star Alliance partners including Lufthansa. Connect through Frankfurt to another European destination. For example, you can fly JFK-FRA-ATH for as low as 70k points with the JFK-FRA on Singapore Airlines. Some trial and error in searching to find dates to your destination will be needed.

Pay an extra 5k points to use stopover program
Aeroplan has a neat option where you can spend time in a stopover city before continuing onward to your final destination. So if you want to spend some time in Frankfurt either before you head to your final destination, or on your way back to the US, you can do so! It does cost an extra 5k points to use though.
Tip: Use the stopover program on the way to Europe and it could open up more award availability from FRA-rest of Europe. Many flights from FRA-rest of Europe are early in the morning and the JFK-FRA flight lands around 10am local time, so you miss out on some connecting flights that service rest of Europe.

Singapore Airlines business class
Singapore Airlines currently flies the 777-300ER between JFK-FRA as part of a fifth freedom route. There are 48 lie-flat business class seats separated into two cabins. The forward cabin has 12 seats and the second business class cabin has 36 seats.
Tip: Try to book the bulkhead seats for extra room. These are the most forward seats in the cabin.
