Hi West Coasters, if you are an early riser, here is a deal for you! Delta recently announced they will fly LAX/HKG and Delta is having an award sale for the route.

Basic economy starts at 17k points one way, regular economy 25k points, comfort classic is 40k points, premium economy is 86k points, and business class (Delta One) is 110k points.

Fly Delta One business class between Los Angeles and Hong Kong, starting at 110k points one-way

Routes: LAX-HKG + ability to book from other cities with a connection in LAX for 110-125k points one way.

Airline: Delta

Programs to book with: Delta

Travel timeline: July to September 2026

Cost: Starting at 110k points + $6 one way

Transfer partners: American Express

Summary: Fly Delta One Suites between Los Angeles and Hong Kong with fairly wide open availability (9+ seats) between LAX/HKG.

Why I like this deal: 1) Reasonable cost of redemption ,which is rare with Delta miles, 2) multiple seats (some dates 9+), 3) ability during busy summer season, 4) ability to connect to/from other US cities for the same price or incrementally more (saves on repositioning flight costs). An East Coast-LAX-Hong Kong flight is 125k miles one way for example, and 5) Delta co-branded cardholders can book this for as low as 93.5k points one-way with their 15% award discount.

Dates with 2+ business class seats

Pricing to/from Hong Kong is 110k points one-way per person before any discount.

You can also book a US City-LAX-HKG flight starting at 110k points depending on the city. It costs 110k for a SEA-LAX-HKG flight all on one ticket with the domestic segment also in domestic first class. An ATL-LAX-HKG flight costs 125k points with the ATL-LAX segment also in domestic first class.

Delta One Suites on the A350

The Los Angeles/Hong Kong flight is currently scheduled to be on Delta’s A350, which has a newer Delta One Suite. Yes, that means it has a door. Los Angeles also has a Delta One lounge and dedicated curbside check-in.
